Share the Magic of Summer Camp!

From the parent of a Lake Nixon camper: "Camp has been a fun and safe environment for my child the last two summers. He's made new friends and gained new skills and hobbies. Fishing is his favorite, which is a skill developed at Lake Nixon that will last him a lifetime. Financial assistance has made camp feasible for our single parent household the last few years. We are grateful for the opportunity to attend such a wonderful summer camp."

The annual Lake Nixon Scholarship and Sustaining Campaign makes stories like this possible. In 2023, 12% of all Lake Nixon campers received direct financial assistance, and many more families were able to pay an optional lower (partially-subsidized) tuition rate. Our goal for 2024 is to do even more. And this year, we are focused on the roughly 100 days of the traditional summer season (Memorial Day - Labor Day).

As vitally important as fundraising is for our work; we are just as interested in connecting with more people who care about our work at Lake Nixon and who want to get involved. Everyone who gives to this campaign this summer will begin receiving monthly updates from Lake Nixon and will be invited to a special recognition event later in the year. Won't you join us? Would you consider asking friends to do the same? Help us reach our goal of 100 donors in 100 days this summer! All gifts matter:

-- $35 can cover a week of transportation for a camper
-- $60 can pay for a day of camp
-- $300 can cover a week's worth of camp tuition + meals/transportation
-- $3,000 can cover a full summer of camp (or a week for 10 campers)

Gifts are distributed to the Lake Nixon Scholarship and Sustaining campaign via the Second Serving Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 organization that exists to support the public ministries of Second Baptist Church, Downtown Little Rock.
